This year’s juror is Gioia Fonda, a dedicated member of the Sacramento art community and a tenured professor of art at Sacramento City College. 11:30a—5p. Free
PENCE GALLERY. Mirabel Wigon’s Earth Stars brings together her expansive new series of botanical inspired paintings. Working in oil and acrylic on canvas, her paintings have an illustrative quality, immersing the viewer in imaginative worlds where flora works in tandem with geometric forms. The surreal nature of her paintings is augmented by the use of augmented reality technology, in which viewers can see forms take 3D form. 11:30a—5p. Free
