Four artists from Siskiyou County–Belinda Hanson, Chris Clother, Cathy Valentine, & Carol Jenkins–work in distinctly different media, addressing the changes they’ve encountered over the past three years. PENCE GALLERY. Joseph Bellacera will give an illustrated talk on his current work on display in his exhibit at the Pence. Bellacera’s merging of scientific theories on the nature of light with art making have endowed his sculpture, paintings, and prints with a visual vocabulary that weaves light, color, and form into a unified whole. 3p—4p. DAVIS VETERANS MEMORIAL CENTER. Acme Theatre Company produces “the k of d: an urban legend,” a tale of revenge and grief with a side of dark comedy. Written by Laura Schellhardt and directed by Jennifer Grace, the production weaves myth and reality, following a pack of teenagers trying to make sense of a local boy’s death. This production includes explicit language and descriptions of violence and death. 7p—9p. $10—15
